Texas Journey 2010

A new way to talk about our work!

Texas Journey 2010 Blog

The Texas Journey of Hope 2010 Blog was created on September 15, 2010. Its primary goal was to gather all information before the Journey, and to keep everyone informed during the tour. It was viewed over 7,000 times!

Its secondary goal was to keep a memento of our adventure in Texas, the state – as Rick Halperin says – that has executed more people than any other single jurisdiction in the free world since 1976. Twelve distinguished and experienced speakers were selected and represented the finest team ever assembled for abolition work: victims of crime, exonerees, family members of loved ones on death row, and family members of those executed. We viewed the Journey of Hope 2010 as an opportunity to plant a seed in Texas, a seed that would later grow for more justice.
